Welcome

About Me
I am a clinical psychologist with more than a couple of decades of experience in helping people to help themselves through mental health struggles, relationship struggles and existential struggles.

I have had training in many fields, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, marital therapy, gestalt therapy, role training and family therapy.

I am able to help individuals, couples and families. I address many problems including depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, self esteem, personality difficulties, sexual dysfunction, eating disorders, post separation issues, sexual abuse histories and physical abuse histories, histories of neglect, and second generation issues.

I have experience working in several countries and have worked cross culturally. Have an understanding of the romance languages.

My Practice
My work life is shared between Community Mental Health Services and private practice. My private practice is in the inner city suburb of Ponsonby. Anybody can self refer.

I abide by the Code of Practice of the Psychologists Registration Board/Psychological Society and College of Clinical Psychologists.

What is different about what I have to offer?
My wide experience resulted in my feeling comfortable working with people from a variety of cultures. My interest in creative arts and theatre and humour mean that the capacity to empathise with a wide variety of issues exists alongside skills that are always being honed. As the years have gone on I have realised that supervision of my work with clients is essential and I continue to receive regular supervision.
